Meet the members of the section
Human-Centred Computing
Our research focuses on using computing to support people’s activities and well-being; inventing new ways for people to interact with technology, and understanding how human capabilities are influenced by technology. We are one of Europe’s leading HCI research centres and a diverse, highly collaborative group of researchers that strives to provide a welcoming, supportive, and caring environment for all.
Our research interests include future user interfaces (shape-changing, AR/VR, mobile and body-based), collaborative technologies, health informatics, and digital fabrication – advancing how we design, evaluate, and understand human–technology interaction.
Led by Professor Barry Brown, the Human-Centred Computing section brings together an international team of researchers dedicated to rethinking how technology can best support people’s lives through innovative and impactful research.
